A BUSINESSMAN visited Fareham College to talk to students as part of his campaign to become the next Tory MP for Fareham.

Nick Rose, from Bournemouth, is competing against three others including the leader of Portsmouth City Council, Cllr Donna Jones, to become the Conservative candidate for the seat.

‘I met up with a group of Student Ambassadors at the college for a question and answer session, and was very impressed by their maturity and outlook on life,’ Mr Rose said.

Meanwhile, Cllr Jones said dealing with issues surrounding Welborne would be a top priority as an MP and she would lobby the government for money to pay for improved roads.

A decision over the Tory candidacy is being made at a hustings on Saturday.
