AN MP is backing charity’s checklist for prostate cancer care.

Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage is calling for the use of the Prostate Cancer UK Quality Checklist.

The checklist has 15 standards for cancer care and support, for use as a guide for men and clinicians.

Ms Dinenage said: ‘Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and it is appalling that patients face a postcode lottery on their paths to treatment.

‘We must do everything we can to ensure that all men with this condition get the care and support they need.’
