CCTV images have emerged which show the Mayoress of Gosport being refused entry to a bar in the town centre.

The video footage was recorded at Nelson’s Bar on a night which led to Paula Carter being barred for a year from 36 pubs and clubs in the town.

She had been out drinking with the Mayor, Councillor Wayne Ronayne just hours after his inauguration.

Cllr Ronayne, who denies any wrongdoing, was given a six-month ban by Pub Watch from 36 pubs and clubs in Gosport, with Ms Carter, who also denies wrongdoing, being banned for 12 months.
