RESIDENTS in Gosport can decide who will receive a share of £12,000.

Community groups have now put in their bids for the cash, with residents of the borough deciding if they have been successful at an event on Saturday, October 19.

The YouDecide decision day starts at midday at Thorngate Halls, in Bury Road, Gosport.

The 12 groups include Music Fusion Gosport, Street Pastors Gosport, FortonFest 2014 and Gosport Boxing Club.

Police and crime commissioner Simon Hayes will be present on the day.

Under-10s can go but cannot vote.
