VOTERS are being reminded that a regular polling station will be closed for an upcoming by-election.

John Hunt, who represented Waterloo ward on Havant Borough Council, has stepped down.

A by-election has been called for October 24.

The normal polling station at Queens Inclosure School has been changed to avoid disruption to the school.

Electors who normally vote there should now go to Westbrook Centre, Waterlooville.

Alternatively, they can use The Baptist Church, in London Road, St George’s Hall, in St George’s Walk or Anders Hall, in Jubilee Park.

Please check your polling card for information.

The last date for registration and applying for a postal vote is Wednesday, October 9.

The deadline to apply for a proxy vote is Wednesday, October 16.
