City Labour MP slams budget for ‘failing Portsmouth’

A RAILWAY worker in Eastleigh told former Lib Dem leader Paddy Ashdown that Portsmouth is full of ‘undesirables.’

Pete Ford, 48, made the comments when Mr Ashdown visited on the by-election campaign trail, the Guardian reported.

Hilsea Conservative councillor Alistair Thompson said: ‘What a cheek, Portsmouth is one of the big economic drivers in the area providing jobs for the people of Eastleigh.’
