A POLITICAL think tank will open a Portsmouth branch later this month with a keynote speech from the leader of the Green Party, Caroline Lucas.

The meeting, on September 20, at 7pm, in Portsmouth Central Library’s Menuhin Theatre, will look at the theme of ‘the good society’.

Gynaecologist Professor Wendy Savage, co-chair of Keep Our NHS Public, will also speak at the meeting.

Compass Portsmouth is part of Compass, which was set up as a Labour body, but now draws members from the Greens, progressive Lib Dems and independent Socialists.
