CONSULTATIONS are being held to give people the chance to have their say on the future of a town centre.

People living and working in Gosport are being invited to the workshops this week which will look at a five-year plan for the waterfront and town centre areas.

The workshops, held at the town hall, will look at four different factors which will be included in the plan.

The first consultation on Thursday will look at social/community development and skills. It will run from midday to 2pm.

On the same day, between 2.30pm and 4.30pm, the workshop will look at coastal environment and urban heritage.

On Friday, between 8am and 10am, business growth and jobs is being discussed while the afternoon session, at midday until 2pm, is looking at inward investment and land use.

Businesses, residents, visitors and community groups can attend but places are limited. To book email robert.bentley@wessexpartnerships.com.

As previously reported in The News, the five-year economic plan is being put together by the Gosport Coastal Community Team. The group was set up last summer to develop the town centre and waterfront areas.
