BIDS for a slice of a £300,000 social enterprise fund are being invited by a council.

Projects that benefit the community by meeting health and wellbeing targets, or help local people take a more active role in running services are particularly welcome, said West Sussex County Council.

Cllr Michael Brown said: ‘The Social Enterprise Fund is an important part of our strategy to improve the economy, community and environment of West Sussex.

‘We want to see a variety of entries, and would encourage anyone interested to attend the workshops to find out more.’

To help applicants a workshop is being held at County Hall, Chichester, on June 6 from 10am to 12.30pm.

The deadline for submissions is August 21 at 5pm, with the recipients expected to be announced in October. westsussex.gov.uk/sef.
