MORE cash will be given to a citizens’ advice service from a council.

Fareham Borough Council agreed to fund the Fareham Citizen’s Advice Bureau until 2018 at its last executive meeting.

The council will give £110,000 in 2015/16 ; £115,000 for 2016/17 and £120,000 for 2017/18; as well as an additional £35,000 for 2015-2016 to fund a housing debt advice post.

Council leader Sean Woodward said: ‘It is one of the best examples in the borough of a successfully-run organisation.’

The bureau gives independent advice on a range of issues.
