A PROGRAMME to help troubled families has seen a 100 per cent turnaround in Portsmouth.

The Troubled Families Programme has been a success in the city as figures reveal all 555 families under Portsmouth City Council’s care have been turned around. This means children are going back to school, adults are getting work, youth crime and anti-social behaviour across the family is decreasing and costs to the tax payer for tackling their problems is reduced.

The scheme, which started in 2012, was a long-term plan to help bring security and opportunity to families and communities.
