A MEETING to discuss plans for a new town north of Fareham has been rescheduled.

The meeting about Welborne, which is due to be made up of 6,500 homes on green land north of the M27, was due to happen on October 22.

Fareham Borough Council’s Councillor Keith Evans said: ‘An extensive programme of technical work to support a revised version of the plan is currently being undertaken.

‘The next board meeting has been postponed to December 4 to ensure the board can be appraised of the outcome of this technical work, prior to a revised plan being submitted for consideration by an independent inspector at public inquiry next year.’
