The plans for the new 6,000-home community to the north of Fareham will be discussed including its infrastructure, leisure facilities and education needs.

Councillor Sean Woodward, leader of the council, and Councillor Keith Evans, executive member for Strategic Planning and Development, said they were looking forward to the start of the hearings.

Cllr Evans said: ‘These plans have been around for four years so it is good to have the inspection starting and hopefully a decision will be made soon.’
