TRIBUTES have been paid to a former mayor of Fareham who died last week.

Dr Harold George Jerrard, known as Jerry, represented Warsash for 22 years, from 1973-1994, during which time he served as mayor in 1984/85, and leader from 1991 to 1993.

Current mayor of Fareham Councillor Dennis Steadman said: ‘Jerry devoted much of his time to the community as a councillor for Warsash, leader and as mayor.

‘He will be sadly missed and our thoughts and prayers are with his family.’

Dr Jerrard died last Wednesday.
