PEOPLE thinking about fostering can go along to a drop-in session.

Portsmouth City Council is holding the event at which foster carers will be available to share their personal experiences.

Social workers will be on hand to give out all the required information, as well as discussing the rewards available including support, training, and up to £500 per week for each child fostered.

Councillor Neill Young, cabinet member for children and education, said: ‘We are looking for fosterers who can provide stability and care for children and young people of all ages.’

The drop-in session is at the Civic Offices in Guildhall Walk, on January 27 from 7pm until 8.30pm.
