PLANS for proposed permanent road closures were to be outlined at a public exhibition tonight.

Letters have been sent to 450 residents about the proposed closures to several roads in Catisfield, Fareham.

The exhibition is being held by Hampshire County Council and was to take place from 6.30pm until 9pm at the Catisfield Memorial Hall, in Catisfield Lane.

Officers and ward councillor Geoff Hockley was due to be on hand to talk through the proposals, which the council wants to implement in an attempt to stop commuters using the village as a rat run.
