A COUNCIL has defended its decision to spend £300,000 on consultancy firm Vanguard.

Fareham Borough Council has stood by an earlier decision to hire the firm for the next three years.

The council’s leader Cllr Sean Woodward and the council’s chief executive Peter Grimwood answered questions on the decision at a meeting.

In yesterday’s News, we referred to Peter Grimwood as the CEO of Vanguard. In fact he is the chief executive of Fareham Borough Council and we apologise for the error.
