A REPORT into whether Fareham Borough Council should return to weekly bin collections has been discussed by councillors.

The report was considered by the Streetscene review panel on Thursday.

As reported, a return to weekly collections would cost the council £638,000 at first, and then an extra £369,000 every year.

On the panel, Cllr Michael Ford said: ‘There is no case to change it.’

The report was signed off, and the councillors agreed that fortnightly collections were right for the borough, except Cllr Geoff Fazackerley who disagreed.
