A GROUP which acts on behalf of residents has applied to change its status to give it more clout in planning matters.

If the application to Havant Borough Council is successful the Emsworth Forum will become known as a Neighbourhood Forum.

The group will be able to put together a neighbourhood plan which is a formal plan under the Localism Act and, once approved, would be used alongside the Havant Borough Local Plan to help make decisions on planning applications in Emsworth.

The application includes a written constitution, a map and other supporting documentation.

It is available to view at

To comment on the application email by 5pm on Monday, April 7, or write to Planning Policy Team, Public Service Plaza, Civic Centre Road, Havant PO9 2AX.
