Fresh plans drawn up for homes on Clanfield fields
DETAILED plans have been submitted for a large housing development on fields in Clanfield.
Developers have put forward designs for 275 homes at Green Lane.
Bovis Homes has applied to build 137 homes, while Barratt David Wilson has applied to build 138 homes on the land.
As reported in The News, more than 2,000 villagers signed a petition calling for the development to be scaled down in size as they were worried about traffic impact and lack of local facilities.
But councillors at East Hampshire District Council granted outline planning permission to the development last February as they said new homes were needed for the area.
The council has a housing target for 1,200 homes for Horndean, Clanfield and Rowlands Castle.
The plans include a community building, open space, allotments, new landscaping and drainage.
The deadline for people to make comments to the council about the plans is February 13.
