GOSPORT’S full council will vote next week to decide whether to give an honorary alderman the town’s highest honour.

Councillors at Gosport Borough Council will meet on March 27 at the Town Hall to decide if they will give honorary alderman Graham Hewitt the freedom of the borough.

Honorary alderman Hewitt was a mayor of Gosport for two years and a councillor for 16 years. He is known for his life-long contribution to the borough and charitable work.
