RESIDENTS in Hampshire are being reminded to use a comparison scheme when it comes to their energy bills.

Switch Hampshire, organised by Hampshire County Council and surrounding areas councils, aims to give residents a better deal on their energy bills.

Councillor Seán Woodward, executive member for economy, transport and environment at the council, said: ‘Everyone is feeling the pinch as our household budgets are being squeezed and fuel bills are increasing.

‘So it’s welcome news that schemes can offer the county’s residents the opportunity to test whether they can reduce the cost of their electricity and gas without any up front commitment.

‘Registering is quick and simple – all you need is your tariff and your energy usage.’
