THE future of Horndean is in the public’s hands.
People in the village will have the chance to have their say on the area’s transport, economy, education, environment and development when the Parish Community Plan goes on display.
It will give residents a chance to air their views before it is presented to East Hampshire District Council at the end of the year.
Residents will be asked if they think Horndean is rural or urban.
They will also be asked for views on where building development should be focused and which buildings should be preserved.
And views will be sought on how the parish can become more sustainable and if the parish is just one community or many communities.
Members of the council’s development team will be there during the day to answer questions.
The event will take place on Sunday, September 11, between 11am and 4pm, in the grounds of Merchistoun Hall, Portsmouth Road, Horndean.
