MORE than 250 representations were received by a council over proposals to redevelop part of Havant town centre.

A consultation was carried out during the summer, including a public exhibition in the Meridian centre, on proposals to revamp the East Street area.

Havant Borough Council is now analysing the feedback. A statement said: ‘We received 277 representations from individuals and groups on the East Street consultation.

‘The planning policy team are currently processing these comments. The council hopes to publish a report summarising the consultation response in November.’
