BUNTING which was mistakenly taken down by a council before the Paralympics had finished has been put back up.

The red, white and blue bunting had been put up in Havant and Leigh Park town centres in May in preparation for a summer of celebrations beginning with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

But Traders in Leigh Park were dismayed when they noticed it being taken down on Wednesday – the day of the Paralympics opening ceremony.

Havant Borough Council apologised and it was put back up on Thursday night.
