Here are the results for the East Hampshire District Council and Winchester City Council wards in The News patch.

The Conservatives kept hold of both their seats for Clanfield and Finchdean in the East Hampshire District Council local election.

Ken Moor and Tony Denton notched up 1,675 and 1,582 votes respectfully.

Mr Moor said: ‘It is great to be elected for the third term in a row and it will be good to work with fellow Tory Tony Denton.

‘I wasn’t too surprised about the outcome because I think it reflects the hard work we put into our campaign.’

The Tories also retained their seat in the Horndean Hazleton and Blendworth ward.

First-time candidate Elaine Tickell kept hold of the seat with 1,016 votes beating Lib Dem’s Ian Maiden with a majority of 633.

She said: ‘It is an amazing feeling. I never expected such a big majority.’

Tory candidate Guy Shepherd secured the Horndean Downs seat for the Blues, collecting 967 votes, a majority of 755.

‘I am very proud to have won and be representing the ward for East Hampshire District Council,’ Mr Shepherd said.
