YOUNG people are needed to have a say and make a difference to the community.

The East Hampshire Youth Council is calling on people aged from 11-21, to sign up and join in activities dedicated to improving the lives of young people.

The Youth Council meets monthly across the district. Members worked with Stagecoach to promote a free proof-of-age card, created an educational DVD focusing on young people and money, and produced a Youth Council website with information on young people and money, jobs and leisure provision.

The Youth Council also runs a grant-giving scheme called the Money Pot. Young people’s groups can apply for grants of up to £250.

To find out more go to East Hampshire District Council, Penns Place, Petersfield, on March 7 from 6.30pm. Call Lara Nolan on 01730 234186 or email at Lara.Nolan@easthants.gov.uk.
