THE Mayor of Havant is hoping his artistic flair will help raise some money for charity.

Two watercolour paintings by councillor Paul Buckley will feature on a set of bespoke Christmas cards.

The cards are to go on sale and all proceeds will go to the Mayor’s Charity Appeal, which will help Combat Stress, the Stroke Association and Relate.

Cllr Buckley will be selling his cards from midday to 2pm next Wednesday at The Plaza in Havant.

The cards will be sold in packs of 10 (five of each design) with envelopes for £3.50 per pack.

Cllr Buckley said: ‘I hope the cards are popular and raise much needed funds for the charities.

‘The cards will available to purchase from the Plaza on the day or by contacting my secretary Anne Thurlow by telephone on (023) 9244 6152.’

‘There will also be a supply kept at reception too.’
