VOTERS will have the chance to meet their prospective parliamentary candidates.

The Hayling Island Residents’ Association has organised for people on the island to meet politicians ahead of May’s general election.

The candidates will be invited to talk for ten minutes followed by a short period for questions from the audience.

The Conservative Party is represented by Alan Mak, the Green Party by Tim Dawes, the Labour Party by Dr Graham Giles, Ukip by John Perry and the Liberal Democrats by Steve Sollitt.

The association has a new committee and chairman and this will be the first of many meetings to be held.

It is at the Hayling United Reformed Church Hall, at Hollow Lane, on February 19, at 7pm.
