A CIVIL court hearing involving Portsmouth South MP Mike Hancock and his alleged victim will no longer go ahead next week.
The female constituent, who cannot be named for legal reasons, claims Mr Hancock made sexual advances towards her.
A trial at the High Court was due to begin on Monday, June 16. However, it will no longer go ahead.
It is believed there are on-going negotiations over a possible apology.
Last month, The News reported an attempt to have the court proceedings suspended by Mr Hancock on mental health grounds was turned down.
Mr Hancock, who was said to be too unwell to campaign in May’s local elections, lost his Portsmouth City Council seat to Julie Swan of UKIP.
