A CENTRE for Maritime Intelligence Systems in Portsmouth has been opened by the minister for Portsmouth.

Matthew Hancock MP visited the new centre at Portsdown Technology Park after a speech at the Shaping the Future of Portsmouth conference in Southsea.

He was also given a tour of the new Cemast centre - part of Fareham College - and met with students on apprenticeships and a business linked to the college.
