PLACES are still available for local businesses to attend a trade and export seminar with local MPs.

The seminar, hosted by Fareham MP Mark Hoban and Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage and is for small to medium-sized businesses.

It will offer comprehensive support and advice to help companies realise their exporting potential.

Companies will hear presentations from the UK Trade & Investment, Solent LEP and the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, as well as meeting local businesses.

Mr Hoban said he hopes it will give the local economy the boost it needs.

‘Britain needs to export more to secure stable and sustainable growth,’ he said.

‘We want to see exports double to a trillion pounds by 2020 and I believe that local firms can make a huge contribution to achieving that.

‘This seminar will help businesses identify opportunities to secure their future.’

Gosport MP Ms Dinenage added: ‘Companies across Gosport and Fareham could reap significant benefits by exporting.

‘Our seminar will offer the advice and support they need to tap into this potential, so they achieve real growth as a company and deliver economic and employment benefits for the wider community.’

The seminar takes place at Cams Hall in Fareham on Friday between 10am and noon.

It is open to all small and medium-sized enterprises in the area but places are limited.
