THE mayor of Gosport has opened a new centre in the town to help vulnerable youngsters.

Motiv8 Gosport opened its new centre in Toronto Place in Gosport.

It also introduced a new enterprise called Bicycle Recycling where old bikes will be taken in, repaired and sold on to people at affordable prices.

The Mayor of Gosport, Councillor Chris Carter officially opened the building alongside Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage.

Charlie Adie, Motiv8’s chief executive said: ‘Now that we have the opportunity to develop a fantastic new facility, young people’s creativity and aspiration has come to the fore and they have been involved in decisions about what the new building looks like and what happens here.’

Motiv8 provides services to vulnerable young people in Portsmouth and Gosport. They work to improve their lives by reducing the risk of offending and anti-social behaviour.
