PORTSMOUTH City Council did not pay out any compensation to drivers whose vehicles were damaged by potholes last year.

In Saturday’s paper we reported that said it had submitted a FOI to the council asking how much compensation it had paid out, but it had not responded.

In a statement, the council said most claims would fall under a Private Finance Initiative with Colas, on behalf of Ensign Ltd.
