PERMISSION has been granted for 32 apartments for the over-55s.

Developer McCarthy & Stone applied for permission to build Ortus Homes, on Coppice Hill in Bishop’s Waltham, on the former Travers Yard site.

The development will consist of 32 two-bedroom apartments, as well as three cottages, a car park and a rose and herb garden, lawns and gated driveways.

Shane Paul, regional managing director for Ortus Homes said: ‘The utmost attention is being paid to ensuring the architectural design of the scheme meets the demands of discerning property owners without them having to compromise on the things that matter, such as privacy and living space.’

Apartments are due to go on sale next summer.
