THE owners of South Parade Pier say an historic part of it which shouldn’t have been removed will be replaced in four weeks.

Fred Nash and Dawn Randall have asked a concrete specialist firm to get a bullnose – a rounded part of the deck – reinstated. As previously reported, the owners were told at a council meeting they had three months to make repairs or else face prosecution because they didn’t get permission to remove it.

Mr Nash said: ‘We have approached people to construct the bullnose. We are getting on with it.’
