COUNCIL officers will be on the hunt for dog poo as patrols have been set up to tackle the problem.

Winchester City Council is sending officers to problem areas in Bishop’s Waltham, such as the grounds of Bishop’s Waltham Palace, in order to catch the culprits.

They will be targeting Pondside on Langton Road.

Residents have been urged to report dog fouling to animal welfare officer Dave Griffiths on 01962 848350 or by email at ehealth@winchester.gov.uk.
