THE mayor of Fareham is set to host her first monthly tea party.

Councillor Susan Bayford, will hold the party on Thursday at 2.30pm. People are invited to join the mayor and mayor’s consort in the Mayor’s Parlour in the Civic Offices.

During the afternoon, a talk will be given by representatives from local cruise company Gem Cruises.

Cllr Bayford, said: ‘I’m really looking forward to hosting my first tea party and I’d encourage everyone to join me and help raise money for some good causes at the same time.

‘If you can’t make this one, I’ll be hosting a tea party on the first Thursday of every month during my Mayoral year, apart from August 2013 and May 2014.’

Tickets for the tea party are £3 and all proceeds will be donated to the Mayor’s chosen charities: The Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity, The Rainbow Centre for Adult Rehabilitation and Tradissar Riding for the Disabled based at Crofton Equestrian Centre.
