Hopes remain £900m deal is not dead – as emails reveal disagreements

THE government will decide whether to allow a controversial development in Clanfield.

Linden Homes has applied to the Secretary of State to demolish of 135 Drift Road, Clanfield, and the building of a replacement bungalow and up to 11 houses at the back.

The appeal follows a refusal by East Hampshire District Council. The authority had concerns over lack of affordable housing and the location of the plans.
