AN MP met with conservationists to discuss the marine environment in her constituency of Gosport.

Caroline Dinenage, MP for Gosport, met with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust staff at Hillhead Harbour on Friday.

She wanted to find out more about the group’s work in the area.

‘The Trust does a vital job safeguarding the marine environment,’ she said.

‘We’re very lucky to have so many areas of outstanding natural beauty right on our doorstep.

‘The Alver Valley, Hillhead Harbour and Stokes Bay are to name but a few.

‘I am committed to working with the Trust to ensure our marine environment remains protected for people to enjoy for many years to come.’

Ms Dinenage is keen to work with conservationists in the area.

The Trust works on both marine and land conservation.
