THE history of Petersfield and its famous Heath Pond is under the spotlight for a consultation.

The South Downs National Park Authority is asking the public to comment on historic areas in the market town.

Among the areas being considered are part of the former railway line to Midhurst.

The results of the consultation will be used in determining future planning applications.
