POMPEY bosses will finally get a chance to speak directly to the taxman tomorrow morning.

After an intervention by Portsmouth North MP Penny Mordaunt, HMRC has agreed to get back around the table with the club.

She will take part in a conference call in which the club is expected to ask for more time to pay its tax bill.

It comes after a winding up petition was issued by HMRC and as Pompey awaits a hearing on February 20 in the High Court to determine its fate.
