PLANS for a new bed and breakfast are likely to be given the go-ahead by council planning officers.

An application has been sent to Portsmouth City Council to enable 6 Malvern Road, Southsea, currently a house, to open as a B&B.

One objection was raised to the proposal, because it may cause parking problems nearby.

But the proposals include creating off-street parking at the site.

Council planning officer Bev Lucas-Christiansen said: ‘It is not considered the proposal would have significant detriment on surrounding occupiers.’
