COUNCILLORS will decide whether to give an alcohol licence to a new Tesco store in Southsea.

The retail giant wants to sell drink from 6am until 11pm every day at a shop it is setting up in Palmerston Road.

Residents have complained that similar shops already exist nearby.

They say there will be more issues with parking and anti-social behaviour. Portsmouth City Council’s licensing sub-committee will meet to discuss the issue on Tuesday, July 23.
