A PLAY park is in line for a £40,000 refurbishment which will see new play equipment put in.

Fareham Borough Council has revealed its plan for Course Park Crescent play area, in Titchfield Common after a public consultation.

It will put in four items of new play equipment; a roundabout suitable for wheelchair users, a junior multi-climbing unit, a basket swing and a swinging surfboard.

Colourful floor graphics including hopscotch, a number snake and wildlife images, will be painted and picnic tables will be moved.

Gates will be repainted, a new bin installed and signs will be updated.

Executive member for leisure Sue Bell said: ‘The play area will enable all children to get the most out of their play time. Thank you to the residents’ association and the community who contributed their ideas, and helped make this happen.’

The works will be undertaken by company HAGS SMP and should be finished by the spring.
