TONIGHT is your chance to put questions to your parliamentary candidates as The News holds its first hustings ahead of the general election.

We’ve teamed up with Portsmouth-based solicitors Coffin Mew to hold pre-election panels, where you can quiz those bidding to become your MP on May 7.

An event giving residents the opportunity to meet Gosport candidates is being held tonight at Thorngate Halls, in Bury Road. Visitors must get to the venue by 6pm for a 6.30pm start.

The next hustings dates, which are being held at the same time, are:

FAREHAM: Thursday, April 16; Fareham College, Bishopsfield Road, Fareham, PO14 1NH.

HAVANT: Monday, April 20; Havant Borough Council’s Public Service Plaza, Civic Centre Road, Havant PO9 2AX.

PORTSMOUTH NORTH: Tuesday, April 21; Highbury College, Tudor Crescent, Portsmouth, PO6 2SA.

PORTSMOUTH SOUTH: Thursday, April 23; Portsmouth University – Portland Building, Portland Street, PortsmoUth, PO1 3AH.
