GOSPORT’S MP Caroline Dinenage is set to enter into a new political union.

But the 42-year-old Tory isn’t about to leave her party or the coalition government – she’s getting married to a fellow MP.

She said yes to Mark Lancaster, who represents Milton Keynes North, when he proposed late last month.

The date for the big day is already set and preparations are under way.

She said: ‘It’s all been a bit of a surprise, I wasn’t expecting it. I’m still getting used to the idea.

‘He asked me just at the tail end of last year and it’s all been a bit of a whirlwind. It’s all very exciting.

She added her two children Edward, 11, and Freddie, six, are excited about the big day.
