AN OUTSOURCING firm is set to take over finance and human resources at a council in a £154m deal.

Capita is the preferred bidder for the 10-year contract at West Sussex County Council.

The private firm will provide support services including payroll, human resources, finance, procurement and office services.

The contract is expected to be formally signed by the end of June and will start at the beginning of September.
