WORLD-famous authors are once again set to arrive in the city for Portsmouth’s annual BookFest.

This year the city council and the Hayling Island Bookshop have assembled a blockbusting line up, including crime writer RJ Ellory, chiller master James Herbert, ex-SAS soldier and bestselling author Andy McNab, and creator of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Deborah Moggach.

Tickets go on sale from Monday and can be bought from any Portsmouth library branch or the Hayling Island Bookshop. For more information visit portsmouthbookfest.co.uk. See The News tomorrow for a preview of all the events taking place from October 20 to November 4.
