AN ANIMAL shelter had a welcome boost from a call centre after its staff donated hundreds of pounds of pet food.

Managers Louise Brady and Lacey Baulf, from Affinion International, in Air Speed Road, Portsmouth, delivered the donations to the RSPCA’s Stubbington Ark in Ranvilles Lane.

It is the third year the company has supported the shelter and this year the staff donated more than £400 of pet food, blankets and toys.

Vanessa Eden, fundraising manager at the Ark, said: ‘Every year Affinion says it has a small donation for us. On arrival, we are always amazed at how much a small donation is.

‘The donations fill up three car boots. With so many animals coming to the shelter, especially at this time of year, donations like this are always welcome.’
